The submission period for the 18th edition of the Santarém International Film Festival came to a close yesterday. In less than three months, we received 320 films from 43 countries. A true mosaic of cultures, visions, and narratives that continue to inspire us.

To every filmmaker and creative team who trusted FICS to share their story: thank you! Each film offers a fresh perspective on the world, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming.

Now begins the most challenging part: choosing. With so many outstanding works, the selection won’t be easy — but we promise to bring the very best of independent cinema to Santarém.
