At the heart of modern Europe lies a quiet paradox: while we celebrate sustainability, we destroy more than half of our wool—one of our most ecological materials. Through 14 interviews across 11 countries and by following two shepherds over a year, the film uncovers a fragile knowledge woven into landscapes and daily gestures. Wool is not disappearing for lack of quality, but under pressure from synthetic fibres, a by-product of the oil industry, releasing microplastics into our world and our bodies. What is at stake reaches beyond the material: a living connection between land, biodiversity, and the traditions shaping a sustainable future.
