LIBERDADE PARA JOSÉ DIOGO

"Freedom for José Diogo" follows the case of 36-year-old Alentejo farm worker José Diogo, who killed landowner Columbano Líbano Monteiro, for whom he had worked as a tractor driver. Arrested in Beja, José Diogo was released on bail and later acquitted in a popular trial that posthumously convicted Columbano. This is a testimony of  the spirit of the class struggle at the time.
