Sofia Bairrão is a director, screenwriter, and visual artist. With a degree in Fine Arts, Cinema, and Writing, she lives and works in Lisbon.
Her career spans fiction, documentary, and graphic design, in independent contexts and for television.
In 2023, she premiered EM ANO DE SAFRA, her first feature-length documentary—presented at festivals such as Doclisboa, CPH:DOX, and Thessaloniki Film Festival, and awarded the Golden Cluster for Best Regional Film at FICS 2024.
