André Tecedeiro holds degrees in both Painting and Psychology at undergraduate and master’s levels.
He has published eight poetry books across Portugal, Brazil, Colombia, and Spain, including A Axila de Egon Schiele (The Armpit of Egon Schiele, Porto Editora, 2020), which was recommended by the Portuguese National Reading Plan.
He has been a guest poet at several international events, such as the Buenos Aires Book Fair 2024, FilBo22 in Bogotá, Barcelona Poesia Festival, Voix Vives Festival, Arquipélago de Escritores, Clube dos Poetas Vivos, as well as the Da Voz Humana and MAP cycles.
For theatre, he has written Joyeux Anniversaire (2021); Desfazer (Undo, 2021); O Ensaio (The Rehearsal, PANOS – New Stages, New Words, TNDMII, 2023); and Sonho (Dream, 2024).
He performed in the play Orlando (Teatro Nacional 21) and hosted the podcast Palavras Difíceis (Difficult Words), produced by LU.CA | Teatro Luís de Camões.
He is a consultant and trainer in inclusive language and gender inclusion, and diversity. He has been a speaker at dozens of debates, talks, and conferences, sharing his personal experience as a trans person in support of visibility and rights for LGBTQIA+ communities.
