Filmed over fifteen years, Gods of Stone is an intimate and poetic portrait of a rural community located on the ancestral border between Galicia and Portugal. Through the perspective of Mariana, a girl growing up surrounded by tales, legends, and local stories, the film explores the relationship between past and present, roots and change. Throughout this narrative, the magic of traditions intertwines with the dilemmas of modernity. Upon turning eighteen, Mariana faces a crucial decision: to leave the village, as her brothers did, or stay with her mother.
